Anonymous asked: Do you have any ideas for great puréed meals? I am week 3 post op VSG and I am completely bored with my diet. My body does not like protein shakes or drinks and I know I am not getting enough nutrients in daily. If you have any suggestions please help!
well there is a couple of things you can do now i know every place and surgeon have different guide lines but i only had to do two weeks of shakes. then i was on a chopped or light foods now if your trying to go that way here’s what my surgeons stage three weeks out had me eat and i didn’t have any issues
cottage cheese low fat, chabani yogurt, low fat re fried bean, soft cheeses low fat, try if you like cauliflower puree is great also if your not getting enough protein look for the protein additive its melts in water and add to food works well to keep up with it also look on my tumblr and you will see a puree shake with fruit that helps
try tofu if you marinade it with what ever you like for flavor and chop it up it is easy to eat and on your stomach , also eggs are easy vegetarian split pea soup is good sorry if i am rambling I’m thinking of all these things that i was eating up till this week when i started on stage four real food
try to mix in chopped salads like egg salad with light mayo or ham salad chicken salad . what works well to is if you cook broccoli well to right before mushy salt pepper and melt some velvita cheese on the stove or microwave and add it to the broccoli anything els you need or want more i can look back at the other stuff i loogged i ate
